Human Resource Development
In-house Employees
For Dai-ichi Life, the most important management resources is our people.
We are currently committed to developing our human resources that allows each employee to maximize their capabilities.
The new medium-term management plan was launched in fiscal 2024, and our human resources initiatives have defined three pillars: "promoting the realization of our business strategy," "an organizational culture that makes utilizing diversity," and "realizing employee well-being."
We are also strengthening the reskilling of each employee in order to link individual growth to organizational growth.
DX Human Resources Development
Due to changes in the market environment and the expansion of our business areas, there is an urgent need for the advancement and specialization of human resources that can utilize digital technologies, such as AI and data science, and we are developing human resources according to their roles and levels. In order to promote the use of digital technologies, we have assigned a total of 900 people in charge of DX promotion from each department, and are working to promote the use of digital technologies. By having all employees proactively utilize digital technologies, we hope to improve work efficiency and productivity.
Global Human Resources Development
In order to respond to the ever-changing needs of society and customers, it is necessary to have a multifaceted perspective and understand diversity. In addition, our expanding overseas insurance business around the world requires more practical and specialized skills. We are committed to developing human resources who can take on challenges and bring about change both in Japan and overseas.
Strengthening Management Skills
It is essential for management to support the growth of each member and connect it to the growth of the organization, and to create a team that produces results with high psychological safety in order to realize business strategies. We are working on developing management to realize an ideal environment where members can easily collaborate, take on challenges and grow with a positive and rewarding attitude, and get the job done.
CDP (Career Development Program)
We have introduced a Career Development Program (CDP) as a system to support the medium- to long-term career development of each employee. By encouraging employees to think independently about their careers and voluntarily "learn, experience, and take on challenges," we aim to simultaneously improve the customer experience and employee well-being.
