Initiatives to Resolve Local Community Challenges

Dai-ichi Life is working closely with local communities and pursuing various initiatives to resolve social and local issues, with the aim of growing sustainably together with local residents. Utilizing regional networks based in branch offices and sales offices in all 47 prefectures nationwide, we work to resolve issues that are close to each region. We also carry out activities that lead to the revitalization and development of local communities by deepening collaboration with other industries and entering into agreements to promote collaborative efforts that contribute to our social contribution policy.

Our company has approximately 1,300 sales offices in all 47 prefectures, and approximately 37,000 Total Life Plan Designers. By leveraging this strength, we are collaborating with local governments to create better local communities. The trust and empathy that our branch offices and sales offices have gained from working to resolve local issues has led to collaboration with local governments across the country, including the conclusion of agreements with 47 prefectures. Through efforts to solve various regional issues, such as promoting women's empowerment and regional revitalization, we are further deepening the bonds of collaboration and contributing to regional revitalization.

 

Details of cooperation with local governments and examples of our activities

Health promotion Conducting activities to support the health of customers, such as recommending a cancer examination and providing health and medical information
Watching for the elderly Building a system to ensure that elderly people can live in safety and security through our daily activities and cooperating smoothly with the government and other organizations in emergencies.
Childcare support / Promotion of women's empowerment / Promoting work-life balance Providing information encouraging female employees and childcare support and running public awareness activities for child abuse prevention. We also provide information on systems to promote a work-life balance at small companies.
Prevention of damage caused by special fraud Implementing anti-crime activities such as providing information on special fraud and raising awareness of dubious events.
Sports promotion Promoting sports through cooperation in various forms, such as announcing and sponsoring the sports events of local governments.

Comprehensive collaboration agreement with LDH JAPAN / PGA

Dai-ichi Life is promoting collaborative efforts to resolve social issues with organizations that share our thoughts and stance on social contribution activities. Although LDH JAPAN and PGA are in different industries, we hope to revitalize and develop the local community and will promote collaborative initiatives that contribute to the Dai-ichi Life Group's social contribution initiatives such as child development, health promotion, and sports promotion. We have concluded an agreement for this purpose.
