  • *1 Scope 1, 2, and 3 are concepts in the GHG emissions calculation and reporting standards for businesses defined by the GHG Protocol, and refer to the following.
    1. · Scope 1: Our own direct emissions
    2. · Scope 2: Indirect emissions associated with the use of electricity, etc. supplied by other companies
    3. · Scope 3: Indirect emissions other than Scope 1 and 2 ( = emissions from other companies related to our activities)
  • When calculating CO2 emissions, Scope 1 and 2 use the emission factor by energy source and the emission factor by electric power company (adjusted emission factor) published based on the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures. Emissions intensity database (Ver.3.3) and IDEA (Inventory Database for Environmental Analysis) database V2.3 are used to calculate greenhouse gas emissions, etc., of an organization through its supply chain.
  • *2 Our Scope 3 caluclates eight categories : Category 1 (Purchased goods and services), Category 2 (Capital goods), Category 3 (Fuel and energy activities not included in Scopes 1 or 2), and Category 4 (Upstream Transportation and Distribution), Category 5 (Waste Generated in Operations), Category 6 (Business Travel), Category 7 (Employee Commutingand) Category 12 (End-of-Life Treatment of Sold Products)
  • *3 Scope 3 CO2 emissions reduction targets have been set for “items that should be emphasized from the perspective of changing the behavior of business and employees” in order to promote initiatives that involve all employees.
  • *4 Percentage of products purchased through the in-house recommended purchasing system.
